Our curtains are designed to reduce a wide range of everyday noise, in particular:

• Traffic: cars, trucks, motorbikes and even trains.
• Neighbors: conversations, music, televisions, noise from the stairwell or lawnmowers.
• Aircraft: planes taking off or landing.
• Building work: building sites, machinery and power tools.
• Weather and wildlife: rain, animals and wind.
• Nightlife: busy bars and restaurants nearby, for example.

They also cut reverberation inside the room, improving its acoustics. Very high-pitched sounds are reduced a little less.

You can hear a simulated reduction of 21 dB for yourself. Turn your volume up a little, keep it the same for both recordings, then play them one after the other.

The “with curtain” recording simulates a 21 dB reduction. Keep the volume identical for both recordings so the comparison is meaningful.

Our curtains are about 0.3 inches thick, which is what allows several layers of highly effective sound-absorbing material to be combined.

Despite their multi-layered construction, the curtains are designed to hang from almost any good-quality rod or track, and two curtains can share the same rod. Work out the approximate weight of yours below:

For noise reduction, both work equally well, because the curtains can overlap and leave no gap between them.

So simply choose whichever is more practical for your room and looks better to you.

Yes, easily. Our soundproof curtains do not need a window or a door to do their job.

Want both sides to look the same? Just choose “Yes” under “Make both sides of the curtain look identical?” and the silver surface is covered with the decorative fabric.

We recommend leaving about 2 inches between the curtain and the radiator. Sound Escape curtains also insulate, so without that gap the heat would struggle to reach the room.

Our grommets have an inner diameter of 1.6 inches, which fits most curtain rods.

Our standard curtains are not flame retardant. They do not currently hold CAN/ULC-S109 certification.

For projects with specific fire safety requirements, such as hotels, offices or public buildings, we also offer fire rated versions. Just get in touch.

Choose the quantity, click “Add to cart” and complete your order. There is no need to contact us first.

No, we currently sell curtains only. However, they are compatible with any standard curtain rod or track.

If you choose the hooks attachment, the hooks are included.

Delivery times are currently normal: allow around 10 business days from your order to your curtains arriving, including making them to measure and shipping.

Delivery across Canada is free. As soon as your order is shipped you will receive a tracking link.

Your order is delivered by Canada Post, UPS or FedEx, depending on the size of the parcel and your address. Customs duties are included in our prices: there is nothing more to pay on delivery.
