Sound Escape curtains are designed to attenuate many types of noise, especially the following:

Here’s how you can find the curtain drop you need for the best noise reduction:
- If your window reaches the floor (like a patio door), make sure that the height you choose allows the curtains to reach the floor. Feel free to add up to 1 inch for safety.
- If your window does not reach the floor, we recommend adding an extra 8 to 12 inches so that some of the area below the window is covered. This way, you will achieve better noise reduction.
Sound Escape curtains have a thickness ranging from approximately 0.39 to 0.45 inches. This allows for the incorporation of multiple layers of highly sound-insulating materials.
As for the weight, good news: our curtains are designed to be hung on any “standard” quality curtain rod or track. Indeed, their density is only about 2.37 ounces per square foot. For example, a curtain with a drop of 100 inches and a width of 60 inches will weigh about 6.39 pounds.
Therefore, it is perfectly possible to hang two of our curtains on the same rod or track!
