Sound Escape curtains are designed to attenuate many types of noise, especially the following:

In addition, the curtains reduce sound reverberation within a room, thus improving indoor acoustics. Please also note that noise reduction will be slightly less effective with high-pitched sounds.

The “With Curtains” audio is a simulation of a 21-decibel attenuation. Keep the volume at the same level for both listening experiences to achieve the best simulation.
The height of your curtains will be exactly what you choose in the “Curtain Drop” option at the top of the page.
Here’s how you can find the curtain drop you need for the best noise reduction:
- If your window reaches the floor (like a patio door), make sure that the height you choose allows the curtains to reach the floor. Feel free to add up to 3 centimeters for safety.
- If your window does not reach the floor, we recommend adding an extra 20 to 30 centimeters so that some of the area below the window is covered. This way, you will achieve better noise reduction.
Sound Escape curtains have a thickness ranging from 10 to 12 millimeters. This allows for the incorporation of multiple layers of highly sound-insulating materials.
As for the weight, good news: our curtains are designed to be hung on any standard quality curtain rod. Indeed, their density is only 760 grams per square meter. For example, a curtain with a width of 200 cm and a height of 250 cm will weigh 3.8 kg.
Therefore, it is perfectly possible to hang two of our curtains on the same rod or rail!

Start by going to the top of the page and choose the options to customize your curtains:
- “Curtain Drop”: Enter the height of curtains you need.
- “Curtain Width”: Choose the width that covers the width of your window/door.
- “Colour”: simply select the colour of your choice.
- “Attachment Type” : select the type of fixture corresponding to your rod or rail.
Once you have selected these, you can click on the “Add to Basket” button and place your order.
